There was a time when fabric was chosen with intention.
Women would go into town not just for supplies, but to select the feed sacks themselves—drawn to the prints, knowing that once emptied, those same sacks would be washed, cut, and sewn into clothing for their families. What began as necessity became something more thoughtful. A quiet kind of creativity. A way of making something lasting from what was already there.
The Feed & Flower Collection is rooted in that tradition.

These pieces began long before they were ever stitched together. The textiles were gathered slowly over decades—collected one at a time, wherever they could be found. What started as a simple habit became something more meaningful over the years, shared between my mother and me. She began collecting feed sacks in the 1970s, drawn to their prints and the stories they carried. I continued the tradition, holding onto each piece for what it was, and what it might one day become.
Nothing here is reproduced.
Every textile has lived a life before this one.
Each tote and wine bag is made from authentic vintage feed sack fabric and antique hankies—layered, stitched, and brought together intentionally. Not to perfect them, but to continue them. You’ll see small variations in color, in weave, in wear. These are not flaws. They are part of the history each piece carries.

There is something meaningful in working this way—slowly, without urgency. Letting materials guide the process. Allowing time to be part of the story.
This collection is small by nature. The textiles are finite, and once they are gone, they cannot be replaced in the same way. That’s part of what makes each piece what it is.
Built slowly.
Gathered over decades.
Created intentionally.
